Why Join

The MMTA is dedicated to providing a forum for our members to exchange ideas and concepts. Our objectives are to provide education and information for the professional development of our members, encourage the exchange of ideas that fosters understanding and cooperation between public treasurers and public officials, and inform members on pertinent legislation.

Membership benefits include access to all of MMTA's training opportunities: the ability to register for and attend Basic or Advanced Institute (municipal members only), Fall Conference, Winter Workshop, the Treasurer Toolkit, and Treasurer-to-Treasurer discussion panels. Municipal members may earn the MiCPT (Michigan Certified Professional Treasurer) state certification.

Members also get access to the member-only section of MMTA’s website, which includes a searchable membership directory, job postings, sample documents/resources, archived Listserv messages, and more. Members also have access to the MMTA Listserv forum, which is an active resource used by hundreds of MMTA members.
